Peach's Run

Peach’s Run is a fitness challenge in honour of our great mate James ‘Peach’ Petrie.
We lost James in February 2022 after an intense mental health battle. Peach’s Run aims to honour James’s memory in the spirit of a physical challenge whilst raising awareness, a sense of community and vital funds to support local mental health based programs.
TICKET PROCEEDS:
All proceeds from ticket sales will be split evenly between the James Petrie Fund at the Ballarat Foundation and Hand in Hand Ballarat.
These funds will support local mental health initiatives and youth engagement projects, including the delivery of the Open Parachute program in Ballarat schools — helping create lasting impact where it’s needed most.

We’llbe firing up the BBQ at Bunnings Delacombe to raise funds for Hand in Hand Ballarat. Every sausage you buy helps us continue supporting youth mental health in our local community. Together, we’re breaking down stigma, building brighter futures and giving young people the tools they need to thrive.

Hand in Hand Ballarat invites you to our Black Tie Gala - a night of fine dining, world class entertainment and inspiring special guests, all in support of creating real, lasting change for youth mental health in our local community. Every dollar raised will directly fund the roll out of the proactive, peer-led Open Parachute program in our local schools, giving our kids the tools they need to navigates life's challenges.

WE BELIEVE IN A COMMUNITY APPROACH TO MENTAL HEALTH!
This is a Mental Health collective organised by Hand in Hand Ballarat who believe in a community approach to mental health. Hand in Hand Ballarat is a grassroots, volunteer-led initiative dedicated to raising funds for the roll out of the proactive, peer led, mental health program - Open Parachute in our local schools. Currently funding the program in 5 local primary schools and 2 local secondary schools. We are not just about raising awareness, we want to stop the stigma around mental health and make real, lasting meaningful change in our community and we invite you to be part of it.

We are happy to be a part of the annual TOMB Rider cycling event held on Grand Final eve each year, invites businesses, and local community to donate time, resources, and money that goes towards training local community members in Mental Health First Aid Training.
